Whole Earth, the UK’s number one peanut butter brand, has introduced a new Hazelnut Crunch peanut butter that combines the wholesome taste of peanut butter with the natural sweetness of hazelnuts.
Available from Waitrose, Whole Earth Hazelnut Crunch (RRP £3.99/340g), is made with a flavoursome blend of roasted peanuts and pieces of roasted hazelnuts – great for those who like a crunchier spread.
Not just for toast, Whole Earth Hazelnut Crunch can be eaten and enjoyed with a variety of different foods from adding to smoothies, topped on to fruit or dolloping on porridge. With its sweet, mellow character, it tastes great with pear and generously spread on to breakfast bagels.
Offering a healthier alternative to other hazelnut spreads, Whole Earth Hazelnut Crunch contains absolutely no added sugar. It is also naturally high in protein and fibre making it ideal for those following a vegetarian or vegan diet.
2. Put the Whole Earth Peanut Butter with Hazelnut Crunch, sugar, golden syrup and oil in a saucepan and heat over a low-medium heat for a few minutes until the mixture is combined and the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in the raisins and oats.
3. Transfer the mixture to the tin and use the back of a spatula to press down and push the flapjack mixture into all four corners.
4. Bake in the hot oven for 20 – 25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and use a sharp knife to cut into 12 pieces while still warm. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before carefully transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
