Clipper, the pioneering Fairtrade tea brand from Wessanen UK, is to make its first appearance at Hotelympia 2016 (29th February - 3rd March), showcasing its wide range of natural hot beverages and its brand new Organic Infusions range on Stand 1452.

With its strapline “Natural, Fair and Delicious”, Clipper has built its name around two core values – great tasting natural products with no added nasties, and a deep commitment to Fairtrade sourcing. Add in its bright, colourful packaging and simple, playful tone of voice, and Clipper has developed a strong brand reputation that consistently surprises and delights consumers the world over.

Visitors to Stand 1452 at Hotelympia will have the chance to view and sample Clipper’s 5-star hotel and café selections of Fairtrade and organic teas, herbal infusions, coffees and hot chocolates. Though best known for its teas, Clipper’s diverse portfolio means the brand is now a true one stop shop for all hot beverages within the out of home category.

As well as its diverse range of hot drinks, Clipper will also be exhibiting an impressive range of formats for the foodservice industry, including String & Tag 100s, Envelope 25s, as well as Coffee and Hot Chocolate sticks. Beautifully crafted wooden in-room display trays add to the allure of this quintessentially British brand.

Rebecca Vercoe, brand controller for Clipper at Wessanen UK, comments:

“At Clipper we pride ourselves on producing natural, unbleached and ethical beverages – key selling points for the foodservice industry as customers seek out delicious, healthy products that are produced in the right way.

“There’s a real appetite for hot beverages in the UK, with tea in particular moving towards the premiumisation model that has become so popular with coffee. The hot drinks market is certainly a dynamic place to be, and Clipper is perfectly placed to supply an enticing range of hot beverages to suit a wide range of needs.”

The Clipper brand has rapidly expanded into the out of home category in recent years and is becoming an ever more popular choice, driven in large part by shifting consumer demands. It is one of the most exciting brands to watch in 2016, with a cult following and loyal consumers who love that the brand is the most natural, fair and delicious choice on offer.

Rebecca Vercoe adds, “Drinking tea out and about has become far more of a social activity, and this is only set to grow. There’s also rising consumer interest in product provenance, as environmentally conscious customers want to know how their drinks have been produced. Fairtrade has never had such great relevance than in 2016.”
